New Address/New Adventures

Hello Loves. Just wanted to update everyone - I recently moved and my address has been updated. You can find it over to the left. It's been a crazy fast paced move -- new job, new home, new adventures! My husband has been amazing through it all, fixing all of the major immediate concerns. It amazes me every day the things that he knows how to do or learns to do. That being said, I am WAY behind on my letter writing - I'm still unboxing and organizing. Please understand, I will write everyone back. Promise! MM

Finally getting back into letter writing! Lots of mail went out to SendSomething profiles and PostCrossing members today! Be on the lookout! (I know it has been a while.) I'm so proud - made all the envelopes myself!

Create your own happiness!

Ok now how amazing is this...

I love the journal...not sure why, but I really felt it...if that makes sense. I absolutely love it. I think May 16th, my actual birthday will be the 1st entry and then maybe use it until the following May 16th...see the difference.

And what about the Birthday M&M's!! I didn't even know they made these. Thanks for sending them in a ziplock bag in case of meltage. ;)

Thank you MisplacedfromPA

May Swap!

I recently joined a swap on a site called Swap-Bot. I believe there is a link to it here on my page - if you get a chance...check it out. It really is a lot of fun. Anyway, at the beginning of the year I joined a birthday swap. Each month, everyone assigned sends something to the assigned member for their birthday. So, in actuality you receive 12 small gifts from strangers in the month of your birthday. May is my birthday month. Yesterday we made it back home after being in Houston for my husband's lung surgery. On the way in he wanted to check the mail. I was super surprised to see that I had 3 boxes in there just for me! I had somehow put the swap in the back of my mind. It was a very nice surprise. Here are some pics of what I received.

This pic is all 3 - I loved that one of them is wrapped in paper!

This one is great! It has a shot glass (hard to see) with two monkeys hanging and reads "Bottoms Up!" I loved all of this, but I think my fav is the post-its with the dog.

This is a wonderful smelling candle and a Target gift card!! Can't WAIT to spend it!

And so far....last but definitely not least...the third gift I've received. I absolutely love it! All of these items are a huge interest for me. Check out that beautifully made card! TALENT right there!

Thank you ladies for my wonderful gifts! I really love them.

Mail Out Monday!

Well, well, well - look who hasn't been updating like she promised...Yep *THIS GIRL*!

I've been going through some medical things with my husband, taking part-time classes, and being sent out of town for training for my new job.

So to start it off, I have a stack of mail that went out today - MONDAY! Domestic AND international!

I sent off mail to Germany, Austria, Belarus, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Finland, Netherlands, Moscow, Indiana, New Mexico, and Oregon.

Now, about those adorable Rubber Ducks: I have sent every one I hosted on their way...but I have yet to see my McDuck. This makes me sad. I miss him! Hopefully, I see him again soon.

Let's see - I've received some good mail too. I usually open it WAY to fast to be able to take pics of it (yeah....I'm impatient like that). I will have to get better at that.

However, I can guarantee that if by some chance here in Texas we have a cold weather day and I have the time - I can be found relaxing, having a cup of tea or cocoa (in my favorite cup), and returning snail mail. So send it on!! I love getting it.

Who am I kidding!?! I love snail mail any time, day or night! It doesn't actually have to be a cold day, I like a good iced half sweet tea/half lemonade too!

Rubber Duckie...you're the one!

I recently joined (Well, I say recently but I've been on the site for a while - just now got into it.) a site called SwapBot. (Find the link over to the right >>> of this post.) It is free to join and you can read a number of "swaps" and decide to join one if you want. I joined one called, "Rubber Duckie on the Road". Basically, you join and you get a rubber duck and you take a couple of pics - put it in a photo album. Ship the album and duck to your assigned partner, where they will take pics of the duck in 4 places of their choice and ship it to their partner. This is done 6 times resulting in you receiving your original duck with an album full of new pics of the places it's been.

I received my 1st duck today! His name is Sigmund and he is from Pennsylvania. I can't wait to run him around town and see what trouble we can get in to! I will keep you guys posted on the duck travels.
